This 1960 Lotus Elite (Chassis #: 1223) is in impeccable condition and is superior to new.
It underwent a $115,000 restoration where car was rebuilt from the tub up, with every part inspected, replaced or reconditioned, and the engine was fully rebuilt. The car has only been driven 400 miles since the restoration was completed in 2008.
Features a Coventry Climax FWE Series 3.
The Lotus has a fabulous race history , and has raced to many wins and podiums by Dennis C. Wilde in the 1960’s.

History Time Line:
1959: Dealer that sold car when new– Autosport , Cooksville Ontario
– sold to Les Smith who drove it for 1500 miles
1960: Sold to Dennis C. Wilde, Mr. Wilde used it for racing only.
1960 to 1966: Was raced in Canada and NE USA, with wins, podiums and many trophies
1966 to 1969: Car was unused
1969: Rebuild completed and raced until 1975
1975 to 1988: Raced vintage with VARAC
1988 to 1999: Car was unused
1999: Sold to owner who had car completely restored by Randall Fehr. The engine was rebuilt by Clayton Vyzralek of Advanced Vehicle Operations
2008: Restoration completed
2008 to Present: Lotus became part of a large car collection and was driven sparingly.
